Since early childhood Carol Mulrooney has felt a strong connection to nature and the animal kingdom, she somehow just always “knew” what the animals wanted or needed. She has lived on a small holding for thirty one years, and shared her life with a variety of farmyard and domestic animals. Carol began studying alternative therapies after she was retrenched from her job as an executive secretary in 1999.
She studied courses in the International Usui and Tibetan Reiki Tradition and opened her healing centre shortly after qualifying as a Reiki Master & Teacher in 2000.
She studied the Baccalaureate of Metaphysics course at the Academy of Metaphysics with Dr. Colleen-Joy Page, as well as several other healing courses for humans and animals as well as animal telepathic communication.
Carol studied a course in creative writing and has a diploma from The Writing School in Howic RSA. She is also a freelance writer and has had articles published in South Africa in The Health Counter News, The Natural Medicine Journal, Odyssey, Animal Talk and wrote a series of articles on Reiki and animal health for Renaissance Magazine. Carol has also had articles published in The Reiki News Magazine in the USA. She was interviewed on 702 Talk Radio/Cape Talk Radio and was featured in articles on Reiki and Animal healing and telepathic communication in The Citizen newspaper, The Krugersdorp News and The Northside Chronicle.
She is the founder of Satori Place of Healing and Enlightenment (an unique healing centre for humans and animals) previously in Walkerville, now situated in the foothills of the Witwatersberg mountains in Magaliesburg. Carol is registered with the RMA as an International Usui & Tibetan Reiki Master and continues to teach Reiki, animal and space clearing workshops and practices as an Intuitive energy healer for humans and animals and Animal Empath / Communicator
